He's probably playing the long game, hoping that's an end of the year decision that buys him an extra year. Allen is literally stealing a paycheck and the Saints are too stupid of an organization to see it.

You think Carmichael is telling Carr to fire a laser from 4 yard into an o linemans back. Carmichael is terrible but Carr is worse. This was a horrible idea to save Dennis Allen's job.
Gayle needs to sell the team to an owner who is locked into a long term contract w/ the city/ state. The whole front office needs to go.

If they end up with under 20 points against the Texans someone has to fall on their sword. But on a short week maybe they wait until after Jacksonville embarrasses em. They have to at least relieve Pete of play calling duties.
