The last two games in preseason have been…eye opening.

They look very very very very bad. Disinterested. Not running any motion. Not making shots. Lack of point guard extremely apparent.

I don’t want to get over dramatic but…if this doesn’t turn around once the season starts…the Griff/Willie/Zion/BI era is over.

When it happens in the regular season consistently, yes.

This is overdramatic.

The thing that worries the most is disinterested. Shouldnt you be excited to start the season healthy and in a new offense? I really don’t understand not giving frick in the preseason like this team is some perennial contender.

Zion is still so incredibly raw as a basketball player... a total force and freak of nature... but his basketball IQ isn't developed enough yet to where he can reassess the situation once teams take away his plan A of attack.

It's technically true.

There's just zero reason to think this is who the Pels are.

There is no correlation in preseason standings vs end of season standings.

Which is why it’s qualified with “if this doesn’t turn around once the season starts”

This is not completely accurate. Winless preseason teams have historically bad regular season records with Bucks in 2022 being an exception. The hope is they win one.

I know I’ve beaten this drum to death, but winning teams have a legit pg..we don’t have one. And please for the love of all things holy, don’t tell me that CJ is the pg, he ain’t.

Vets often half arse it in the preseason. Should they look better? Yes.

I think a lot of Zion's problems though are conditioning. Sadly we've seen this multiple times before. Once his fitness level improves after playing his way into shape, his motor increases too. That's the rising tide that raises all boats.

If BI and Zion don't work together, we'll hopefully get to enough games to finally see they don't fit and make a move at the deadline. If they do work together, what happened in preseason won't matter.

This is just demonstrably false. The best teams outside of the Warriors have Point Wings or Point Centers. And even the Warriors can be argued that Steph isn't really a traditional PG.

I would argue Steph is a point guard who is the best shooter in the world. His handles and passing is pretty damn good.

But this isn't really true at all.

Shell is right on this but most winning teams have an elite passer on their team (jokic, bron, etc.). Not sure if we have an elite passer- thats an issue.

There are vets on the teams we are playing and they look great. They are moving the ball and scoring and not walking down court. They don’t turn it over times or just watch rebounds

Pelicans right now look AWFUL

Hopefully a flip can be switched

They sure think they are elite passers. The amount of terrible cross court passes by the starters were alarming, and I missed most of the first half.

By legit you mean someone like CP3?

Bucks don’t have a PG
Nuggets don’t have a PG
Celtics don’t have a PG
Suns don’t have a PG
Heat don’t have a PG
Lakers don’t have a PG
Clippers don’t have a PG

Your best player is your PG in todays NBA, Zion.
