This is why people need to wait till signing day before they complain about a class. No 5 *’s!! We could end up with a few.

I still think we have a right to complain. We where projected to land McKinley, Simmons, Sayin, and Wesco all of which are on3 five stars. We where heavily involved with Cam Coleman, and DJ Lagway and supposedly we said thanks but no thanks to Coleman. We also missed on Blake Ivy, Drelon Miller, Wardell Mack, Charleston Collins and a few other I do not remember. It is great that our players are rising and stars and ranking are not the end all be all. But at the same time it is worrying how many of these battles we are losing and how much better a class we could have. I am not a coach and do not have the ability to evaluate like they can but there is certainly a correlation between blue chip % and winning.

I did forget about him, he got CBed to us right after his visit and then he immediately committed to A&M.

Why? Go look at our OL class according to them. Not one 4* including Calloway who happens to be very high on On3. Point is, opinions vary based on who you ask. The 2 biggest sites have similarities and differences on our class individually. Both have us sitting 10th overall. No matter how you math it, our class still stacks up where we have all along. Grasping to hang in the top 10.

Oline is the least of my worries under Kelly. The guy has a long track record of developing NFL Olinemen. Now Dline is where all of our concern should be. If this defensive class doesn’t measure up to our standards then it’s time to fire House and others because they haven’t shown anything that justifies keeping them another year.

It is worrying. There has been talk of the offensive staff having to help close on defensive staff recruits. That is a red flag.

Where are most of the misses?
The defensive side.

So we have 11 in the top 300 which isn't perfect but at least we're grabbing decent recruits. But it could be better which is why it's a disappointment. I think Kelly might have to make some changes in defensive position coaches anyway because of coaching. I like how he's going heavy in the secondary though.

Honestly I'd say it's about even. Feel like we got most of our top DB targets and LB targets, D-line leaves some to be desired but they have CJ Jackson, Reliford, Jaylen Brown(Missouri commit) and Melvin Hills and Breux all going to be in town this weekend. Offense has missed quite a few on the O-line and WR and QB as well. Granted we have Drelon Miller and PJ Woodland coming in which could elevate or deepen the WR class. Really feel like the most we've missed on is honestly o-line with Ivy, Davis and Jonathan Daniels to name a few. Think the big thing with D-line is the worrying few that we have gotten the past few cycles and our D-line is not performing the best right now although that seems to be changing a little bit.

Trey’Dez Green: #58 (+50) #1 composite TE at 42 overall and could end up a 5 star

Jelani Watkins: #95 (+17) #161 composite overall

Ondre Evans: #106 (+200) #152 composite overall #15 CB

Tylen Singleton: #148 (+2) #132 composite overall #11 LB
Cai Bates is still at top 10 CB at #107 composite overall.

I still think Ju'juan Johnson not being higher ranked as an athlete is an incredible oversight.

All these idiots star gazing don't pay attention to actual recruits though. Davhon Keys is going to 100% play himself into rotation year one. Our back 7 haul is going to have a major positive impact on this team.

As far as OL and DL, they are still pushing for the recruits they lost. I expect flips.

Like we’ve done plenty of times before then turned around and signed the #1 or #2 class the next year. I swear it’s like some of y’all have convinced yourselves that we have historically signed a top 3 class every year for the last 30 years. We’ve NEVER been a top 3 recruiter consecutively. Few are (mostly due to getting viewership of the platform by fans of specific teams because they have the largest overall fan bases so naturally their players have gotten bumps by these recruiting platforms).

I can see Keys doing that. My nephew said when he was at Aledo, He used to come home and say Keys was different and about his business.
