Well our fan participation has fallen way behind. Doubt we fill up the stadium again. Everything has to be perfect for folks not to have an excuse

It’s pretty pathetic that LSU doesn’t have

If you haven't seen Bryant Denny at night with LED.. maybe you should rethink what you think about LED? I know I had to have my thinking adjusted

If done classy it can be a really cool stadium experience.

LSUs problem is it wants to stay in the past while others have embraced change.

A lot of the renovations LSU wants are expensive because those in position of authority want to preserve historic features of the campus. Sounds noble but is it wise?
Anyone been to Duke? Its old and tired looking but its 9000 students and will cost 80k a year...

You have to think like young people ...because these are your students and future alumni...

A bunch of LSU fans need to make the Bama game this year...get there early Friday and take a tour of this campus and experience downtown in the evening

Billions have been spent since Nick arrived...

As an LSU fan...all I can do is tip my hat and say "you guys did well and are fortunate,"

From 2022

“It’s time to update and upgrade, from restrooms and concessions to seating options and in venue experiences,” LSU Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said. “We are sending out a survey to help guide our decision-making for changes to Tiger Stadium, and in the coming days, we will send out another survey for the PMAC.

“No decisions have been made and no designs are finalized. Nothing will be decided until we receive and analyze all your feedback. It’s important to us that we make fiscally responsible decisions to invest in improving the fan experience in Death Valley and the Deaf Dome and to provide our student-athletes with everything they need to compete at the highest level.”

It's been almost two years since the survey. I've heard nothing.

Who was it ahead of that it has fallen behind?

It's below others by comparison for sure but it isn't like it's gotten worse. Sadly, it's actually gotten a bit better the last few years which shows how bad it was.

It’s the games that mstter all the rest is gingerbread. If you don’t think so go to the Chines, or Wslk Ons and watch the game and let real football fans come enjoy themselves.

Can’t argue with that.

I will say I need a better experience to get me to go to say the Ar-Kansas game, and definitely any crappier game. But a big game needs nothing but a place for me to sit/stand in the stadium.

I don’t know. Look back over the years and Arkansas gave us all we could handle. They played us to the limit this year.

Now if you would have said Grambling or one of the other cupcakes, I would agree. But most SEC games present a challenge, our opponents can and do give us a game.

Lights and sound system getting replaced in 24

I remember when they first put the Danley Sound Lab system in. Thought it sounded incredible. Don't know what happened.
Where did you hear that they're replacing it next year?

I’ve posted about this a few times, but the south upper deck is what happened. The Danley point-source system worked great when all of the reflections were directed out of the stadium. The south uppers changed the acoustics and made it sound like shite because now there’s a concrete wall opposite the speakers.

No idea what the plan is for ‘24 but IMO they need to either move the sound system to the SEZ or install distributed speakers throughout the stadium (much more complicated but probably better if they do it right).

The one thing that needs to be changed…north end zone scoreboard. Due to the way the stadium is now built…upper south end zone, the sound is always going to echo.
I’ve been to many other SEC stadiums…Tiger Stadium is still better! LED lights..the schools that need a gimmick can have them. We need them about as much as we need the DJ.

Im pretty okay with not turning Tiger Stadium into an EDM concert.

I dont think thats what hes talking about. Sounds system and video boards are inferior to both MS SEC schools. Also, their dj’s dont play rap music nonstop. Next, lights and concessions fall short of all three away games Ive been to

Piss and moan all you want about the LED/colored lights but I’ll never forget that scene from Neyland when they beat bama, fireworks exploding and the stadium lights flashing orange. It was an awesome scene.

So you remember the fireworks and light show, but not the actual game and what was going on on the field.

You're not making the point you think you are...

And more importantly, do they care?

Do you donate at least six figures to TAF every single year? If your answer is no, then no, they do not care. We’re all peasants.

Best fix for poor "stadium experience" is fielding a championship caliber team.

Stadium experience is everything that comes with before and after the game

I am tell you people, LSU is behind....yall need to venture out to other stadiums

I get it, TS is electric when it's 2 top 10 teams going at it late in the 4th...

seldom happens...

leaving early is a problem
corporate tickets a problem
conditions for concessions and bathrooms a problem
Parking and traffic a problem
Lack of hotels near stadium a problem
Lack of quality sports bars near stadium a problem

NO LED
people are complaining about the music selections

When you make attendance expensive, the University better bring the quality with it... People have choices

Louisiana has always sucked in politics and managing Imoney

You'd be wrong. Ticket sales and revenue in stadium from merchandise and concessions make LSU a ton of money. If people stop going to games, that's a big fricking deal.

As a long time season ticket holder, I care more about the quality of the opponents we play than the actual "game experience".

Neutral site games are an abomination to the sport. Big time college athletics should be played on college campuses. The atmosphere and energy from being on a campus is a big separator from other levels of sports.
