Regardless of the circumstances, Kelly not realizing the importance of a Dline coach is inexcusable. Though he deserves a pass from us for producing the most explosive offense since Brady, he has to know he robbed his team of a possible national title and Daniels of a Heisman.

This is such a stupid talking point. Our coach almost died a month before the first game.

Yeah, since Kelly is God and knew his DL hire would have a health emergency.

The offense is dangerous to opponents. The defense is dangerous to LSU.

It is a strange conundrum. The second most explosive offense in school history coupled with the absolute worst defense.

In the modern era, that would seem to be better than having a strong defense and an anemic offense. I guess that's why I have less affection for modern CFB. I love defense. A 77-70 game is nothing to me. Give me a 9-6 win in Tuscaloosa every time.

I swear... the more shite I read on here .... the more I'm convinced that the majority of posters don't actually follow the program aside from games.
Do you think Kelly just didn't hire a dline coach?

That’s the truth, JD and offense are so good it’s a sin we are not even average on defense so we can score 50 an still loose. It’s painful to watch.

Regardless of the circumstances, you can’t just ignore it and hope it works out for your team. Still I am not willing to crucify him over it, but it’s gotta hurt him knowing he should have addressed this immediately. Kelly definitely loves his team. That’s why I say that it’s gotta hurt him.

I just told you the truth, this mistake has to bother Kelly. Not that some will ever realize that

The echo chamber has its talking point. DBs can’t cover so blame the dline coach who got sick.

Yeah, what a big mistake. Kelly did not use his fortune teller to make sure his DL coach would make it to the season. Hell, he should've also anticipated all the calls from the opposing team, we should've won all our games 50 to 0. Some of you guys are really not the brightest ....

I think I like winning 40-20 honestly. Enough points to keep a buffer against the fluke opponent score to flip the game and the defense not HAVING to be perfect.

That said, I’d take a 77-70 win in Tuscaloosa every time over a well-played 9-6 loss that was more appealing in style.

I just want them to win. I really don’t care how. If one day they decided Louisiana talent at RB/WR meant a Mike Leach Texas Tech style air raid was our best shot…have at it. I’ll adjust my style preferences if they bring home trophies.
