I start work at 6, get to the office between 5:45 and 5:50. I hate being late.

In HS, i went to a workshop where a very successful business lady was speaking. She said the number one thing she looked for to move people up was to be on time. She said if you get there on time, when you scheduled, she can train you to do pretty much anything.

All of you folks sound psychotic. Everyone knows that in US culture you show up 5 minutes early and that’s considered punctual. We also all know when it’s important to be earlier than that and when showing up on time or 5 minutes late doesn’t matter. There is no reason to be emotional, angry, or hateful when someone is 5 minutes late. Chill out. You are the one being selfish.

Early, unless I’m going to an event at someone’s home, then I am on time. I think it’s rude to show up to someone’s party before they’re ready to host you.

I would say anyone under 30 isn't going to be honest about them being late

Yes. If you're on time, you're late

Early if humanly possible. Kinda neurotic about it.
I just don’t want to have to stress out about it.

I showed up 35 minutes early for a doctors appointment that was 25 minutes away. This is the way. I keep a book in my truck at all times, in case I need to get smarter while I'm waiting.

I’m often a little bit late on certain things because I’m simply not needed for the function and I get involved, it’s going to be at the very end

I think the worst part is the excuse making MFers that are late. Yeah, traffic, yadda yadda, you should have rolled your wife out of the house earlier.

I have a flexible schedule for work. I usually get there at 7, but I can come in 15, 30, hour, etc earlier or later and just adjust on the back end. It's written into policy so a lot of people take advantage of it as a perk.

Socially it depends on my wife and who we are meeting
