would have been nice if he did that originally instead of getting the Swamp Dem McCarthy the Speakership.

Desantis in 2018:

quote:

“Look, Jim, he’s is a champion wrestler, he’s tough, he’s principled, and if Jim Jordan were Speaker we’d get these documents tomorrow because he fights and he would dig in. And so I think it would be great. I mean, I think all the lobbyists would be quaking in their boots if Jim Jordan was Speaker,” DeSantis told the conservative group.

“I mean, the swamp would immediately start to drain and I think that’s what we need,” he added. “Jim would mark a change where you’re really standing up for taxpayers and really fighting the swamp day in and day out.”

His picks are almost always wrong. We’ll see.

That’s why senile Don is pirating Ron’s picks.

Of course. Jordan is a very compliant puppet.

I blame Gaetz for the McCarthy Speakership for not being of strong enough character to hold his (and whoever followed his lead) ground and instead capitulated to the status quo.

He capitulated to Trump in January.

McCarthy, Graves, and crew refused to vote for Scalise and killed his chance at the House. Trump had to step in to push Jordan over the finish line.

Jim Jordan very unlikely to get enough support to win the seat, even with the endorsement. Steve Scalise more likely to get more support than Jordan. Both would get support from Silicon Valley.

... have not heard Lee Zeldin's name brought up this time.

Scalise has in the not so distant past lambasted around here as a RINO for I can’t exactly remember what it was, but if my life depended on it I would bet that it was stupid nothing bullshite. Now here we are. But if he were to not win, he’ll be back to RINO establishment-cuck trash in about, let’s say 3 months. It’s the TDPT cycle of life.

Has Ron Desantis done a good job as Governor of Florida? Yes or no?

No. I’m a huge proponent of the Second Amendment and he consciously chose not to use his position and power to recall Florida’s draconian red flag laws when he easily could have.
