LOVED the 3rd season. Some of the best television ever.

I did too

I could go 3 and 4 as 1a and 1b and could flip flop them randomly

Hamsterdam and bunny . I loved all of that .

Seasons 3 and 4 are absolute elite tv and very few things can even be talked about on that level

After watching it, do another run through The Office and see how many crossover in that show.

Looking forward to seeing how it ends. Love to hear yalls opinion.

Be prepared for at least a little frustration during Season 5. One storyline, in particular, is not universally enjoyed by fans. However, I think it is well worth it to see all the storylines tie up and the finish is one of the best series finales ever.

Yeah that comment confused me too. I was wondering if he watched the seasons out of order or something.

And S2 is good, but it was such a huge change of pace from S1 that I see why it turned people off a bit. That being said, it’s a great season (even though I rank it 4/5) and shows you another angle of the drug game. And the Frank Sabotka tragedy is really well done.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I thought season 2 was very good.

I don’t want to spoil it but the main reporter guy and the higher ups at the paper are not treated with kid gloves.

McNulty going off the rails is the best.

I’ve been watching television since screens were B&W, 12” diagonal, and in a one hundred pound wooden box and The Wire is one of the best things to ever emanate from one.

The last season unfortunately, treated the media with kid gloves, even romanced the notion of the common man reporter. I wish they had taken a harder look at it, and exposed more of the rot and corruption in journalism too.

Thew newspaper arc pretty much reflects the same as the police. A few noble characters are crushed by the system while incompetent and/or corrupt individuals thrive.

The 5th season is best when youtube feeds me a few clips.

Best characters of any t.v. show ever: Omar, Bunk, Stringer, McNutty, Lester, Landsman, Clay Davis, Cutty, Prop Joe...just really interesting, well written, and well acted.
