Eh. Good movie, but were they ever funny on SNL? I just remember them playing music.

The OP was asking for favorite..not necessarily funny for funny Pete Schewddy and "Schewddy Balls was hysterical although I have no use for Alec Baldwin as a person..but that skit was hilarious.
Schweddy Balls

Back when they did real character development on SNL. It also helps to have real talent. Those were high-water years for the show.
The 60 Minutes episode with the gag toy products or the synchronized swimming are classic.

It's still shocking to me that anyone ever found Martin Short funny.

Ferrell as Trebek or James Lipton.
Honorable mention: The Lady's Man. Whenever I rewatch those now I die laughing.
A second honorable mention to Tracy Morgan as Astronaut Jones.

I'm going with Matt Foley, but I have to say that Fred Garvin: Male Prostitute was one of the most original and shockingly funny premises when it debuted. I can see that it wouldn't have the legs of a Matt Foley character, but when Aykroyd was on, he was fricking on. Bass-O-Matic is still at the top of the SNL pyramid.
