Defensively, I can't imaging that we are going to be good. We are going to lose a lot on the DL, and we have very little young talent that looks ready to make a leap in the defensive backfield.
It's going to take another monster transfer portal year.

The offense looks like it could win a title tomorrow
The defense looks like it couldn’t win the Idaho high school state championship.
40 drop backs and 0 sacks. Secondary that gave up over 300 yards on missed tackles alone
And the current recruiting class ain’t gonna be that final push into winning the SEC

Am I the only one who sees that Kelly has only 1 year of HIS recruits under his belt? A new coach needs at least 3 to 4 years of HIS recruits to be judged. Not to mention the damage done firing Orgeron which put Kelly in a bad position his first year.
Has common sense disappeared among you fair weather fans? It's obvious we need better or more experienced corners and better DT's like Wingo. Add to that our DL line coach has cancer and our best DB just had brain surgery. WE ARE NOT THERE YET.

What about the fact that we are likely losing our starting QB, top 2 receivers, and possibly our starting RB?
What at all make you even feel remotely good about the DL? Oh and Perkins has an extremely long way to go before he is a top 5 pick.

We need coaches on the defensive side that can coach! We don’t have that right now and that’s on the coach whom hired them

That bama team destroyed everyone they played until they met Clemson.
We finished 10-3 (should’ve been 11-2) with a NY6 bowl win with plenty talent returning on both sides of the ball and great incoming recruiting class. So as 2018 ended, yeah things were looking pretty good for us. You can’t even remotely say that now.
