Being not good enough to win a national title is a far cry from some of the worst defense we’ve ever witnessed.

LSU is smarter than that. Nobody is firing Kelly l this season, next or the next because of what he inherited.
Kelly May get rid of House but who knows. They may need to dummy down the defense which takes better athletes.

Weird I was just remembering him saying that this morning. Even if we would’ve won last night, you knew that this team wasn’t national championship caliber and we would eventually be knocked out the race. The frustration is that we have a good qb but the defense is just so below standards it’s not going to matter.

Kelly also rambled on and on to the FSU coach about the concept of consistency, a lecture that would backfire on Kelly 3 hours later. Fast forward a month later, where is the consistency in all 3 phases of the game? Hell 4 phases if you count coaching.
