Looking for a reasonably priced pre-emergent for my Bermuda this fall. Prodiamine does great with my crabgrass each spring, but I have been having a heck of a time trying to get poa annua, henbit, etc. out of my Georgia Bermuda lawn.
I was looking at Simazine, would that be a good option? No preference between liquid or granule for me.
Thanks a bunch ya’ll!

Prodiamine is what I typically use and works for me against poa annua. I don’t have henbit, but it should work on that too. Dimension is also comparable, you might want to look into.
Specticle Flo is probably one of if not the best pre emergent product for you, but it is pricey. I don’t have experience with sizamine.

I do split apps of simazine on St Aug lawns.

What do you do about centipede lawns this time of year Ronk?

I wish Simazine was available in quantities less than 2 1/2 gallon containers, as one needs so little per 1000 sq ft, but it’s not expensive per unit volume and from what I understand very stable for up to 5 years. I could spray my entire block, twice a year, for the next 5 years and still have some left over.

I've seen tons of people selling pre em by the ounce. Especially Specticle.

you can mix the simazine and the prodiamine. thats what a lot of us do on Bermuda grass golf courses. I use spectilce in the fall with simazine because specticle doesn't stop Annual Blue Eyed grass and simizine does. I do split apps add the simizine in the second app usually in November or early december

I bought 6.5 oz off one of my Facebook groups. Only way I can afford it. It is expensive
