It looks like Speights is going to play this week but in his absence Penn and Weeks have been really good. Obviously Perkins’ SAM/nickel role is only his so you have 3 guys deserving of 2 spots. Maybe Speights is the best of the 3 but I haven’t seen enough of him to make a call. I have seen Penn enough to know our D is much better with him in it and Whit Weeks has been nothing short of amazing as a true freshman.

Speights looked slow but it's hard to tell because he was apparently injured. I would prefer not to beta test this week and stick with what works, but wouldn't mind a rotation. Hopefully it helps Perkins more than anything.

Based on a very small sample size, Speights might be the odd man out right now. Regardless of who starts, I think we'll see all 3 play close to an equal number of snaps until the top 2 separate themselves.

The coaches know much more than I do, but Weeks needs to start with Speights coming in to give him a breather every now and again. Whit is a star in the making and could be the next great LB from LSU.

If they think Speights is 100%, start him but the leash would be as short as LEarl’s member.

Ole Miss is a good opponent to see who separates themselves. Going to need to give guys breathers with their pace of play anyway.

Rotate all 3. There is little drop off and they stay fresh.

You're right about the positions. I don't know why you got all the down votes.

If Speights is better than Penn or Whitt on passing downs, he could play a lot.

I think it's because people didn't realize Penn was moved over to MLB and Weeks took Penn's vacated spot.

I don't see how we can keep Weeks on the bench.

Needs to be on the field, always. Dude is a baller...

You're going to see more of a rotation at linebacker. I would expect Speights and Penn to get the start but its going to be very hard to keep Whit off the field, so unless Speights plays out of his mind I would expect equal playing time among the 3.
