Anyone who blames this on defense is brain dead.

They were on the field all day and playing phenomenal (with backups). We now tied the record for consecutive games holding your opponent to 20 points or less (11).

Game was over when the refs started calling phantom PI flags on them.

Meh, it definitely is on the defense. They don’t get a pass on this today. The offense could’ve burned clock better, but you the defense was a big part of this loss.

Also, the Packers offense was both incredibly injured and mid. Which more than canceled out our defensive injuries.

The defense got no help but they also didn’t do anything in the 2nd half to stop the Packers. Jordan Love isn’t good and they were the typical Dennis Allen “break when it matters” defense

The packers ran 11 more plays and had 5 more minutes of possession. Basically 1 more drive.

Being gassed doesn’t hold water

We could have the Dome Patrol out there but the offense can’t score more than 15 points per game.

The defense laid an egg when it mattered.

Its certainly not all on them, but they are equally to blame.

You win as a team and lose as a team.

The O, the D and STs all shined, but when the chips were down in the fourth quarter they all failed to make the game winning plays you need in the NFL.

This was a team loss and yes the coaches are part of the team.

they showed the stats where the saints ran less time off the clock than the packers did. all while the saints were trying to run out the clock.

let that sink in, as how brain dead our coaching staff is to do that.

from the moment carr went down, the DA game plan was to run out the clock. then he calls no running plays, so we run 3 passing plays and then punt, using less then 1 minute of the clock.

i bet second half TOP numbers was 25 packers and 5 for saints

GB was down its three best offensive players

This defense should’ve been able to EAT with a 17 point lead

It was a Grupe effort, imo

Offense should’ve been able to generate at least one more scoring drive. Defense shouldn’t have given up 18 in the 4th. And just make the kick, Grupe.

All I know is as soon as Carr went down and Jameis starting warming up I knew the game was lost. Add Vegas I mean the refs keeping the point spread in tact as well. The blame should be spread around but like I said Carr went down I knew it was a wrap.

All day my arse. They played 11 more plays than the offense and that includes the kneel downs. They blew a 17 point lead with under 12 minutes left in the game against a beat up team missing 2 starting OL, their best WR and their best RB and playing with a young QB. They shite the bed in the 4th quarter. They even had the perfect play call on the 4th down goal line play and DD completely blew the tackle. It was his assignment from the snap. Lattimore got bored and lazy and gave up way too many plays (including the 2 pointer where he basically stands still watching the QB in the backfield).

Defense was fine until they had to be on the field every 2 minutes or however long it took that thing we call a backup to go 3 and out. By the end they were dead in the water and gassed. Only way the Saints were winning that game was if they managed to run out the clock and kick a FG. Defense wasn't keeping them from moving the ball into range if the Saints made that FG at that point.

You can believe they were put in a tough spot and also believe they played like arse when it really mattered.
