What do you think of the call. I kinda liked it...maybe I was thinking out of my arse or something. But was a hail mary a better attempt?

rainy conditions, against the gusting wind......I think we would have had a better chance throwing it up to TT.

I would have preferred a throw to the EZ. TT at 6-5 was probably better odds.

He has the leg to do it and the chances were about the same as a hail mary.

First of all they had 18 sec left and 3 time outs and they throw and then throw a bomb!!!

why not act like your gonna pass and let JJ run for at least 7-10yrds maybe more and call one of your 3 time outs do it again call another time out and then kick can I say

WHERES OUR COACHING!!!! :banghead:

im watching at home and know that damnnnn

are you fricking serious? it was the worst call ever. colt cant hit it from 63 esp in the cold and wind blowing at him. the hailmary from 46 yards out is a higher percent play than a fg that has 0 chance

maybe not a hail mary, but at least try the old hook and lateral that Boise State used against OU last year At least try something. The percentage of hitting a 63 yarder into the wind has to be less than 10%!!! The longest ever field goal was 67 yds. on grass and with the wind...the reason why I say on grass is because grass slips much easier than turf...turf has a tendency to grap the tip of the ball when kicked taking a little bit away from the end over end motion!

the calls before that with timeouts and good field position left most people scratching their heads.

I think we got spoiled last year with all the 4th down conversions. Hell,if Les Miles played black jack last year, he could have retired on that alone. I think he enjoys the hell out of pushing the envelope. He knew the odds before the kick.

i think it was a horrible call,i dont care if he has the leg to do it or not anytime you put a college kicker in for a 60+ yarder it spells for a disaster. But like another poster said the playcalling and use of timeouts is what gets me

It wasnt a bad call. As good a chance as a hail mary. I have far bigger issues with other aspects of the game.

A quarterback sneak had a better chance at success than did that call. That call has made me serious consider if Miles can stay as HC at LSU. It was the worst coaching decision I have ever seen. No chance at sucess at all.

A. Colt David doesn't even have the leg to kick it 63 yards in normal conditions.

B. He was kicking against the wind in rainy conditions.

A hail mary to the end zone would of at least gotten to the endzone with guys like 6'5 TT, 6'4 DP, 6'3 BL, 6'2 DB and 6'3 RD able to possibly make a grab. A Hail Mary is probably somewhere around a 1% chance for success, which in my book is always better than 0% (the stupid FG attempt).

I have no freaking clue what Les was thinking.

If it hadn't been into the wind you could sell me on it. David has the leg, the 57 yarder he missed at Ky last year would have been good from 63 if it had been hit straight. But into the wind? Morten Andersen in his prime couldn't jave it that I don't think.

The flip over the head fake would have been a better call than that. That ball had no chance against that wind. The flags were straight out in his face.
