I don’t see a dominant/elite team this season.

I don’t think any team is immune from getting tripped up somewhere along the way. The playoff could end up looking a little goofy this season. It wouldn’t shock me to see at least one 2-loss team in there.

Seems to me we will have a season on par with 2007. And I’m here for it.

Alabama fielding their worst team in over 10 years, Georgia looks very beatable, and the other power 5 schools didn’t look overwhelming at all.

I’d say Florida St looked pretty good

I think Washington is legit

It's week 3. Rarely does a "dominant team" present itself this early. UGA barely escaped Missouri last season in week 5. 2020 Alabama was in a dog fight with Ole Miss in week 3. Even the 2019 LSU team wasn't seen as "elite" after week 3.
I'm not saying there will or won't be an elite team emerge. But it is WAY too early go make any definitive statements one way or the other. Just about every title team from the last decade (plus) has had a game where they struggled, causing fans to question if they were "championship caliber".

FSU gave us a thrashing in the second half.
It was their first game too.
See how injuries and player development over the course of the season play out and maybe we’ll get a chance at redemption.

I agree with every comment in the thread. …This might be a first.

You got downvoted to hell but you aren’t wrong.
The combined IQ around here is about a 20 so don’t mind them

Idk, fsu put up 40 something on us, they didn’t look too bad.

FSU looks like it to me. They had a fluke fumble, scoop and score that made the game semi-close. But if you call that close then the 2019 Tigers had some close games, too (they didn’t).

If LSU and FSU played again this weekend, LSU would probably be favorite as they were the first game. People act like the result in one game is definitive, teams often play back to back weeks with vastly different results.

The Gumps may turn it around when they give up passing with Milroe and go back to three yards and a cloud of dust but I really hope not.

I don't think you can consider a close game a team not being elite.
Would UGA last year be considered elite? They had a close game with Mizzou early. Then we all saw what they did in the CFP.
Every team has a bad game, even elite teams.

Reason for this in my opinion is the early effects of the open portal and untamed NIL.

A few have been mentioned but generally I agree. Interesting season so far for that reason. Esp Pac-12

These teams are just beginning to evolve and will all get better as the season continues. No team will have reached their best potantial until Mid November. Then you will see who is dominant.
