I’ve heard Caribbean Joes had a great burger but haven’t been yet.

Another underrated gem that I love in BR is The Cove Hawaiin Grill on Jefferson at Bluebonnet. I like pineapple, and I can get two meals out of their big kahuna burger with fries.

Dearman’s is pathetic. I can’t believe people hype that place for any reasons other than nostalgia. Burgers are small with ZERO seasoning. They taste like nothing. George’s is similarly bad, but at least their burgers are also juicy. I would take Freddy’s over Dearman’s. I frequently choose Sonic over Dearman’s.

Dearman’s is to burgers what Jay’s is to BBQ, what The Pastime is to pizza, what Druscilla’s is to seafood, and what Po’boy Lloyd’s is to po’boys. All of these places are legit bland and mediocre and I’m convinced only survive only off of nostalgia.

The cheeseburger Poy-boy at Pastime Lounge is really good and can be split by two people. Had one last week and it is as good as it was 37 yrs ago!

Georges is my regular Saturday lunch spot, and I get the burger often, but it 100% agree that it’s bland as hell.

I just add cheese and lather it up in ketchup, which admittedly is something I crave and enjoy. Nowhere near a best burger contender though.

I love Jay's beef poboy. Always have fresh hot fries as well. Damn good meal.

but i got lambasted on here for dogging Curbside and saying i liked Overpass at the time.

Overpass cooks food correctly. Crispy fried food. Perfectly cooked burgers. Homemade pasta. Good apps.

They don’t season anything. Their burger is perfectly cooked, good bun, toppings but it has zero flavor. Most of the food is that way. Their chicken sandwich is another big offender. Crispy and juicy. Bland.

I was going to try this place today but they are only open 16 hours a week. And none of those are on Friday. I'll definitely check it out though.

Just wanted to bump this to confirm that Agile Brewing does have a pretty damn good burger. Definitely fresh ground meat patty, not frozen.

Can’t believe that place has been hidden for a year and a half right by my house. They had 20 of their beers on tap and plenty of good food options.
Chicken crackling and cheese curds were awesome as well.
