A thought on why Miles recruited Perilloux

When Miles was hired at LSU Perilloux was committed to Texas. He committed to Texas while Saban was at LSU. So, did he turn LSU's offer down or did Saban not recruit him because he knew he had character issues?
I'm wondering if Miles recruited Perilloux and overlooked the character stuff because, as the new head coach, he needed to make a "splash." Signing Perilloux did that. As I recall, he was one bright spot in an otherwise average recruiting class.
Thoughts?

Saban told us in fight club he had major attitude problems and wasn't worth the headache.

Little secret. RP was going to come to LSU even if Saban would have stayed.

Saban didn't recruit him.
Ding Ding, at least somebody here gets it. RP was constantly in trouble in Laplace and there are many stories that people don't know about.

I think it had something to do with him being one of the top qbs in the nation

RP had no character issues in High School.
I'm pretty sure Miles recruited him because he was the No 1 player in the nation .
You know, it is possible for an athlete to pick Miles over Saban.

RP and his family did not like Saban. RP changed his mind after Miles arrived.
Sheez, the crap keeps getting deeper and deeper. It's amazing how we are now Thug U and our guys have character issues.

nobody on this damn board has a fricking clue
I always love the short responses like "he didnt recruit him" acting like you know a fricking thing.

Every single tiger fan wanted to sign Perilloux.
The guy was given an offer because he was the USA Today player of the year and had offers from EVERY school in the nation.
People easily forget how upset Texas fans were and how much of a coup it was for Miles "to keep the best talent in state."
To say that we should not have offered him today is VERY hypocritical. There is no way anyone could have seen his future problems coming.
Quit looking for things to blame.

think back to when this all went down nobody was happy with the miles hire the supposed top qb in the land is in your back yard and committed to texas at the time, it was a no brainer for miles and if you are honest it fired the fan base up

Ryan who?
I hope Miles isn't thinking about Ryan Perriloux, and is instead working on why his offensive genius failed to guess right on the multiple choice test and identified the wrong QB until the last game, and why Malveto managed to take great talent and mold them into an embarrassment of a defense.

Saban said last year that he had gotten RP's word that he was going to come to LSU before Saban left for the Dolphins. Heard him say it with my own ears.

Irony.
Somehow, Nick Saban...I guy who has shown thoughout his professional life that he HAS no character himself, somehow gets credit for only recruiting high character guys (Xavier Carter, anyone?) and Les Miles, a guy who no one would claim is NOT a high character guy himself gets blamed for CONTINUING to recruit the #1 recruit in the country who happened to live 50 minutes away from Tiger Stadium.
Amazing...
