McDonald’s to phase out self serve drink stations by 2032

They give all sorts of bs reasons but I’m sure the main reason is trashy people that ask for water and steal it. I’ve even seen homeless people bring their own cup or take one from the garbage to fill it up.
Self serve, free refills are one of the biggest perks of being an American. I’ll purposely avoid eating at fast food/fast casual places that don’t have it, hardly ever go to chick Fil a.
Once again, trash ruins it for the rest of us.

I always heard that the cup costs more than the drink that goes into it.
What I hate are $5.00 Movie concession stand cups. That I buy to go with my $7.00 bucket of popcorn.

By 2032, they will have fully automated stores. They will not have drink stations because it will be 100% run by AI.

Imagine trying to get a drink refill at a McDonald's. Probably not quite as pleasant as chick fila is currently.

Actually that’s not totally accurate. Studies show that people who drink diet drinks are just as likely to be obese.

I've heard the opposite, when we were in high school I had a friend work at a restaurant and the owner said that was a money maker. A $1.50 soda had something like $0.17 of cost in it. This was a while back so maybe stuff has changed.
