I normally reach for the remote when it comes on these days, but you're right that was a great show last night.

Brought back a lot of memories from that day. It was also the last time this country came together as one.

Yup. Was inspiring seeing everyone come together. I hate saying this but I really do think if something like this we’re to happen today, a quarter of the country would prob rejoice.

"Coming together as one" only means the Democrats stopped talking about how much they hate this country. Temporarily.

and when they saw how much support GWB was getting across the country, they doubled and then tripled down on the hate.

people forget how nasty they were to Bush. it was unspeakably nasty, and these days it's like it never happened.

Especially if it were Trump supporters and/or Republicans who died.

That was when politics took a real bad turn in this country imo.

And now he’s like a hero to them.

horseshite. The dust from the towers hadn't even settled and one side of the political aisle were already blaming America for antagonizing those poor Muslims into attacking us. Then the flood of "hate crimes against Islamics" stories started up. I don't know why people keep saying 9/11 united us.

God bless those 911 operators. I know they're trained to deal with high stress emergencies, but no one could ever be prepared for these calls.
