I hope all the Republican senators in TX who voted to allow this sham impeachment go on are never elected to anything again. Same for the House members.

Apparently there's a big backlash against the House reps happening so the Senators are on notice for sure.

Paxton is from the Plano area, and his wife is a state senator from there too. She can't vote though. All the House reps in his general area voted to impeach him, so their future is on shakey ground depending on how this turns out.

Bad part is that all of the Dem senators are all yay votes, but Republicans wouldn't be auto like that if it were a Dem in the same position.

Vassar is a snake.

George P thought he was a shoe in because of his name, even though many GWB supporters weren't too fond of him. Texas Tribune had a good article on this IIRC

There is plenty of evidence. The saddest part is Paxton's defense that the people knew he was a criminal when they voted for him. Embarrassing.

They knew?

Really, really, knew or sort of suspected maybe he was?

Thanks. So the state is paying one the most expensive lawyers in the state. Wasn't this whole thing kicked off under the guise of him asking for $3mil to settle with people in his office as it would be cheaper than the yrs of litigating? This whole shame is going to cost them a lot of money as I'm sure Paxton is charging the state for his legal team too.

What a clown state TX has become.

Three days ago, I sent e-mails to my texas state senate and house representatives asking they respond with references to their publicly stated positions on the Paxton situation. Indicating that with the real problems of border control, energy management, Federal intrusion, inflation, the Paxton story should be a very small issue. Response was they do not comment.

Looking for the backstory I come up with the following

4-5 of Paxton's staff, bureaucrats , did not like Paxton's work priorities during the covid period. But did not take up the issue with State HR, ethics commission, governor , Legislative oversite, Texas Rangers, or Texas Supreme Court. Nope, Nope,Nope

They held a meeting with the F B I. Could that be an insurrection, bad ethics, failure to work within the system, Deep state f.cking with the elected leadership.

I begin to think that show trial is a method of dealing with the problem, and getting state business out of the F B I. and getting the bureaucrats back in line

So much evidence the FBI has been investigating this for 5 yrs.

His last election had a cloud of "he is going to be arrested right before the election so don't vote for him in the primary".

Our board lefties in this thread are foolish dolts

If I find irregularities all over the country about an election that smells to high heaven, do I need to investigate? Not my job, that's the FBI's,....oh wait, nevermind.

You'll have to ask him. It is his defense.

The Bush TX Uniparty was instructed from Uniparty headquarters in the Imperial City to get Paxton after Paxton filed a lawsuit against Google claiming Google used algorithms to help steal the 2020 GE. Hopefully most Americans have noticed by now that every person currently being attacked using political lawfare are people who have stood against the illegitimate regime and D.C. Uniparty.

DId any media outlet report the truth on this? Or just taint Paxton's name?

This is so sad...

Does anyone but DC establishment thugs and RonBots and Nikki Pence lovers believe Paxton did anything truly wrong?

Democrats love the Bush's now because the Bush's are democrats.

Has Jeb's son been magically appointed to replace Paxton yet?

At least it’s good to see the Republicans nut up and start fighting like Democrats.

Problem is they’re fighting against other… Republicans.
