He didn’t just get that job though. He EARNED it by beating Navy, Wake Forest, Boston College and Indiana every year

“I thought we came in with a good game plan but our guys just didn’t execute. I thought we looked sluggish, we’ll address that in practice. The guys just didn’t compete like we prepared them to, I was disappointed in their effort.”

NOPE.
It's the same as last year. Bunch of new transfers who aren't spectacular, but are apparently the best on the squad, and they don't know each other yet.
That needs to stop happening, if this program is going to become what we want it to be. I have no problem with taking a Speights or someone like that, to complement the guys we have. But we need to build depth and continuity within the system, so it carries over to following years.

Maybe the hype videos that everyone gets excited about should come with a disclaimer at the end of them saying that the team may suck. Everyone get hyped on the videos then embarrassed.

Face it, for the 3rd time in a row, we have to wait out a sucky coach to either retire or be bad enough to get fired. Then, hope that somehow a competent coach is finally hired so that person can start from scratch and build the program back up. It’s Groundhog Day with this school and football coaching hires. And it’s getting damn old.
