Louisiana based globalstar (gsat)has been rising like a rocket ship the past week. It’s up about 40% in the past 2 weeks from $1 to $1.40 per share.
The impetus for the jump seems to be the hiring XCOM Labs founder Paul Jacobs as its new CEO, and XCOM CTO Matt Grob as its new CTO.
I’m not clear on what these changes will mean but I’ve owned the shares for years waiting for something big. It’s been a painful hold. I paid $1.50 per.
Does anyone have some insight I got the benefit of the new leadership?

New CEO, new contract with Apple…they are probably about to move to Texas.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Apple purchased them in 36-48 months.

I was thinking that the change in leadership could be an indication that they are dressing things up for an eventual sale.
It’s not like they hired an unknown. Jacobs is a major player as Ex ceo of Qualcomm. He’s bringing a team of wireless scientists and engineers who are going to make globalstar relevant in day to day communication rather than just remote satellite service.

Up to 1.94 this morning, bought in at 1.48. Seems some insider purchasing of the stock has helped along with a 53% increase in total revenue for Q3 2023

I didn't know gsat was still around. Bought some years ago when Cramer was pumping it only to watch it crash in 2017. Sold it then for a tax loss.

They just built that new building in covington right before covid. I don't even know if they've fully moved in yet.
Somebody on here has to work for them.

Got in on this also in the 1.40s after reading about it here. Too high to buy more now?

I’m up 30% on this. Is this a cash out at 50% up situation or we riding this one to an early retirement?

I have to believe there is much more upside here. I’m talking x5 to 10.
The new leadership is opening some doors that they never had.
The apple partnership has some very interesting possibilities.
They could see their devices installed in a much wider array of products. Think vehicles and industrial usage.
They also present a very real take out target.
