We need a "frick you" kinda coach and Backwoods Billy ain't it.

Billy - hire a goddamn offensive coordinator or your arse is grass in a year or two. You cannot call plays to save your fricking life. This game was an absolute embarrassment. I thought Byron Leftwich was a shitty arse play-caller but holy CRAP you might just be worse than that.

Sunbelt Billy is a great guy but he ain't it.

I had ZERO expectations. Yet, This game was somehow a worse product than I was expecting coming into the season. We look bottom of the SEC bad. this feels like a 3 win team to me, maybe. The secondary is not good. I’m seeing zero improvement. Corey Raymond? Get your head out your arse. With Billy’s supposed disciplined and fundamental approach, fricking up on FOUR crucial SHORT 3rd/4th downs when the game was competitive, is just straight up embarrassing. But the gaffe with the dual numbers? Unreal. Unacceptable. Period. This was just about the worst case way to open the season for Billy. This is not a well coached team.

Ole sunbelt Billy!
Glad he’s at Florida bringing them down. Let’s all take a moment and waive bye bye to that great recruiting class they have coming in

Golly gee. I never could have imagined that Sunbelt Billy would turn out to be a bad hire. Man, if only someone had said something about it when they hired him (and when many of our own fans were beating off over him and mad that we didn’t even give him a look).

maybe the most unforgiving fanbase in the SEC. Their impatience and incompetence will keep them irrelevant, maybe forever in football. they give no coaches time to recruit and develop their own unless his name is Urban or Steve

this line keeps getting recycled and all i have to say is that majority of this board would have melted over sunbelt billy. a loud minority of the fanbase wanted him. not the majority.

They will eventually learn that Raymond is good at getting talent on campus but he doesn't know how to coach them up. With him as coach, the players are what they are, his skill is getting the kids that are already good, not coaching up average guys to be good.

Come on. You are trying to make it sound like it was 4 or 5 people here. I agree it wasn’t like 75% of the board that wanted him but it was still around 45% that thought he would be a “good hire”.

LSU board won't be much different even if lsu loses a close one

I agree with this but that loud minority was beyond aggravating and I am not going to let it go.

Saban is making a spot on the shadow staff as we speak.

Scoreboard will melt the first time FSU completes a forward pass.

LSU and UF are in a position to not have to go out and hire a Sunbelt coach. I'm really glad we didn't get him and hired a proven coach. Thanks Woodward.

In fairness, Florida played like hot garbage last night. It was very bad. At no point were they even competitive.
I don't think that happens to us. But I'll be in Orlando so if so I'll try to start a riot.

I wouldn’t have minded Napier. I like Kelly way more but at the time of the Napier argument we didn’t know Kelly was an option.
The one thing that annoyed me about that situation was the group of LSU people that didn’t want to hire Napier strictly because he was the ULL coach. That was insane.

There is a reason Aranda fought so hard to have a second DB coach on staff. He did not think highly of Raymond’s actual coaching ability.
