LCA scores against Acadiana on the first play from scrimmage of the first half on a 78 yard QB keeper by LSU commit JuJuan Johnson. Missed XP 40-26 LCA

No my kid’s team beat them twice last year.
ETA: my daughter played them in soccer a couple years ago and I had no idea what LCA was. My wife told me they were a ghetto school. And once I saw a girls parents fighting with each other on the sideline, I realized exactly what she meant. The husband and wife were about to come to blows because the wife was trying to coach the girl from the sideline.

Dang it, I knew you would say that
I was an LCA parent and my son played football. But he and my daughter are both LSU grads at this point. I'm an Acadiana Alum.
Looking forward to the LCA STM game this year. Should be another good one.

Port Allen vs Brusly will end in a 13-13 tie. It appears there was a shooting in the parking lot at halftime. Police are on the scene & they've called the game. Sad. Hoping for the best, they’re in Port Allen. #LHSAA

Not a ghetto school but they are located in an area of Lafayette very near some sketchy areas. The school demographics are probably about the same as Lafayette in general. And those do happen at times when you have one of the least expensive Christian Schools in town. Not everyone behaves like they should, it is not indicative of the people there in general.

m watching the game on YouTube. Is there a more ghetto school in the state than LCA? From the parents, players, or announcers?
The Facebook moms will have you believe we are

No worries man. I know you know our local football from your posts. STM vs LCA in the last week of the season is going to huge.

Failed fake punt by CHS late in the 3rd may be the play that costs them this game. Dumb decision.
Now they're getting gashed by Picayune's run game.

It's wild that we have probably 3 of the top 10, maybe top 5 select teams in the state in our district. LCA and STM are probably 1 & 2 again. Plus Westgate is likely a nonselect state title contender. A loaded district that helps a team harden up for playoff time. But it sure feels brutal during the season

Picayune just walked the ball into the end zone because Catholic was lined up so poorly. Not great coaching so far for the Fuller debut.

For those in the Lafayette area, are there any post game radio shows to listen to? I know years back, there was a local radio show that would give a run down of all the scores and highlights from the nights games. TIA

Rummel fumbles on the ensuing kick off, recovered by Ouachita. You can’t win football playing sloppy..
Rummel had way too many turnovers.

I was watching the Catholic broadcast and they said this Picayune school has won 27 games in a row, goddamn.

Agreed, but he just got bailed out with a HUGE pass and catch inside the 15.
