I think BK was being honest.

Not Ed Orgeron honest, mind you.

But according to BK, LSU is a year away. There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not it's coach speak , but I don't think it is at all.

LSU could be good this year, maybe even great. But I feel BK doesn't quite believe the product is fully finished.

We have one hell of a schedule as well. He's saying temper your expectations and at the same time, don't let that preseason #5 ranking go to your head.

He's a masterful coach , we all saw what he did last year. We return more production than a majority of the country.

We have a great team ready to roll out, a blowout bowl win that gave us momentum coming in.

It's going to be a fun year. BK has managed this off-season about as perfect as you can.

Beat FSU and the sky is the limit.

Next year we’ll have an inexperienced qb. Not that they wont be good players who are capable of winning games, but typically more experienced qb’s win championships at a higher rate.

So 2 years away?

I'm on the koolaid. 11 wins is 100% achievable when you look at the sheer talent on the field this year.

Perkins is worth -3 points on a spread just by existing .

Me too. I’m actually shooting it like tequila. Can’t wait to kick Georgia’s arse. Maybe twice.

It's not good to rely on transfers especially in the secondary.
Two years in a row you've had to rebuild that position group.
You need continuity.
I do think the oline will be the strength of this team which should keep you in every game.

Hard disagree. Many teams would kill to have Nuss start for them.

He's a better QB than anyone on the Bama roster

And he didn't puss out and transfer. We're in seriously good hands at QB two deep right now

Mulkey said she was a year away also.

Just saying.

Nuss might be the most experienced backup in the nation.. especially after this year. Also Stetson Bennet, Trevor Lawrence, Tua ring a bell?

All won nattys as first year starters.

What? Next year will be Nuss's 4th year in the program. He'll have had more game reps than probably half of the league qbs and more practice reps than 75% of them.

Nuss is not exactly inexperienced right now and after this year he’ll be even more experienced

I like out qb room, but saying they walk in and win a championship in year 1 is a tall task

Eighteen months ago, LSU was getting blown out by K State in the Texas Bowl with a WR playing QB, 39 scholarship players on the sideline, and a player personnel people coaching.

The Bama win has accelerated people's expectations. Last season could have looked a lot different, and folks would have a better perspective on where this program truly is. LSU would have lost the Arkansas game had KJ Jefferson been playing, needed a miracle to beat an awful Auburn team, and lost to the worst team A&M has fielded since joining the SEC.

Brian Kelly is the right guy for the job, so listen to him when he tells you the program isn't there yet.

The only knock is the rB position. And the talent is there. Just need a guy to step up and be the horse.

A team can be a year away and still be talented.

All coach's try to temper expectations. Not only to possibly keep a fanbase, that is pretty fickle, off his arse but to not have his players think they can just show up for games.

This team has all the pieces if they stay healthy. Kelly is honest but at the same time he is not going to go out his way to put more pressure on his team. Next year will be good, if they are better depends more on what we do in the portal at D line, and if Anderson, Sampson, and Hilton are legit. We probably losing the top 3 receivers off this team but what’s behind them could be as good if not more explosive.
