Ron would indeed have made the exact same or very similar moves and decisions under the circumstances, yep. And these same folks here would be viciously turning their backs on him just the same, going out of their way to ignore ALL of the relevant facts and circumstances on the ground at the specific time. This observation is probably something Desantis has taken note of and probably sours his formerly optimistic outlook on being President to begin with. He’s obviously plenty smart enough to understand that it’s beyond literally impossible to satisfy all the people all the time, but knows too many people don’t care about that reality one bit, and may have both consciously and subconsciously cooled off on wanting to deal with that bullshite at all.
