Watching Coleman and McGee do a double steal was probably peak Whiteyball.
Vince Coleman was incredible
In 1985 Coleman (110) and McGee (56) combined for 166 steals. It was incredible to watch.

I saw Will Clark mentioned and threw up in my mouth a little. Being from NOLA I had the misfortune to having to be around him when I was younger.

I never got into MLB, just followed LSU players. Brad Hawpe is my favorite MLB player of all time with Wally Pontiff being my overall.
I was 16 when he died and he was my favorite player at LSU at that time… doubt that ever changes.

The Hawk was great. I remember him once swinging at a wild pitch that bounced off the dirt at his feet. It was laughable but also showed how badly he wanted to destroy that ball.

"the Kid" His swing is a masterpiece to watch. Still the sweetest swing in mlb history.

Jackie Robinson
Rickey Henderson
Frank Thomas
Jackie because of the all-around athlete he was, and everything he did for integration.
Henderson because of his style of play, especially as a baserunner.
Thomas was the player I watched most when I was younger. Hawk Harrelson on the broadcasts giving me an understanding of being disciplined as a hitter.
I also liked Raul Mondesi and Rafael Furcal because of how they played the game.

Dude deserves to be in the HoF. Period.
Really surprised to see so many Reds fans in here.
As for my all time favorite, it will always be Sir George Foster. He got 52 HR in 1977 and nobody came close to 50 until 1990 when Cecil Fielder hit 50.

Rod Carew. Loved watching him spray the ball to all fields. Never struck out. Old school legend.
