Covid School closures...

DIL drove up with grand daughter, school's closed due to 1 person testing positive for covid. Not a student, someone in their family. Are we still doing this BS? I went 2 years at a hospital, never socially distanced and wore a bandanna. I never caught covid. Why are people still testing in 2023.

I have a hard time believing this. The evidence of damage done from school closures is endless at this point. Even the CDC recognizes the frick up. There’s no way that’s the whole story.

I don't know anyone doing this. Only thing I could think of that would shut a school down like that would be staffing issues or transportation issues right now.
I don't know any legitimate schools that are closing the whole school for a COVID contact.

The Covid that caused severe illness is long gone. They shouldnt call the current disease covid 19.

I heard that Open Door Baptist in Denham is doing this. Apparently several kids in multiple classes have COVID, and kids must be picked up by 3:00 today. Kids can return Monday. Really fricking dumb. What is that school...like 30 kids from K - 12th?
