Dinardo wasn’t fired after 98, didn’t play Notre Dame in the bowl following 2016.

Still have DiNardo fired after '98. He wasn't fired until near the end of '99.

I guess I had forgot we were top five preseason in 2019. I would have guessed 10 or so.

Gerry was fired Sunday morning after a 20-7 loss to Houston Saturday night !

Oh and we were ranked #7 at the beginning of 1998 season out the gate and even were 3-0 to start then the wheels came off!!!!!!

Didn’t realize we were top 5 in 2019 either.

I remember being in Vegas for the first game and there wasn’t any buzz around the team leading up to it

1998 LSU is the greatest team of all time to finish unranked

I guess you could put the same thing for 2020 (Orgeron fired the following season).

Les Miles fired mid season
Funny to see the change in standards here; Miles was let go because we stopped actively contending for national titles. We followed with O, who was let go because we couldn't finish over 500 a couple years.

I get that it was time for a transition, but Miles should not have been let go without your target already lined up. I say that as a business model, despite O catching lightning in a bottle in 2019. A good coach not only would have had that season (most likely), he would have followed with a couple top 10 seasons, not cratered.

That's because F King fricked up and didn't let him walk off a hero after the TAM game(when the fans, team and he expected as much). Our memories of Les would be grander if that would have been the case. He deserved that but even he couldn't see it. It happens. Like waiting too long to break up with a girl when you know it's headed for a disastrous ending that is terrible for both sides.

That’s what it says after the correction.

Off the top of my head You are missing 2012 (I believe we were top 3).
