Brilliant plan if the ultimate goal is get Maye or Williams next year.

You almost have to feel bad for Colts fans at this point. What a dumpster fire.

I already did in the post above the one you quoted. Why you ignored it, I don't know. I'm not an expert of your brain.

I didn't really see him much in college but I was watching highlights of his first game and my biggest takeaway was how horrible his throwing motion is.
You see that vert though?

To translate: We are taking our butt-kicking this year. Growing pains and missed assignments galore, but hopefully growth at the end of the day. If all fails they have a good backup.

Anthony Richardson would be a great QB if he was good at throwing a football.
But that's kind of important

Richardson really needs to sit and learn but I guess they're going to try to workout the kinks early even though his biggest issue is experience overall.

Yep
Eli White would be an MVP caliber player if he could hit a baseball.

Gonna be an interesting bust.
Another example of NFL scouts overvaluing physical ability. Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning some of the best ever and all of them are built fairly normal.

Makes sense to me. They’re not going to compete this year. End up with the #1 or #2 pick, and some team will offer you a gazillion picks/players for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye (or another QB) who will be available at that time.
Yep. And if he looks like the light isn’t going to come on you could always take the better prospect.

This is what I think, but people are discounting Richardson's passing and writing him off prematurely. Mechanically he is obviously sloppy, which you saw with some high passes this weekend, but he actually goes through progressions, reacts to coverages both in real time and from previous plays, and clearly understands route concepts and what the offense is trying to accomplish. He is miles ahead of what Malik Willis was coming in, who I've seen him compared to a lot.
Not saying he will for sure work out, but when you're that athletic you don't have to be the world's best passer.

Vince Young
Michael Vick
RG3
Lamar Jackson
Jalen Hurts
Josh Allen
Kaepernick
Cam Newton
Were all MUCH more productive passers in college despite being known more as runners.
I guess I can see the gamble when you have a solid guy like Minshew on whom to fall back but top-5 picks are so valuable I question using one on such a low-floor player no matter how high the ceiling.

It's not worth sitting young QBs anymore. The most valuable asset in all of sports is a good QB on a rookie contract. They kind of have to fast track his development here.

I would like to see an alternate universe where Mahomes starts game 1 of his career instead of sitting for basically a year. Did the Chiefs waste a year of the potential GOAT, or was he really not ready?

Guy talked shite about losing to Missouri, then in the swamp goes out and throws for 66 yards 1 td. 1 int.
If not for Brady Cook bring a bad QB Missouri wins again in swamp
How he's a starter shows how bad the QB position is in NFL, outside 8-12 qb's

You'll quickly see that his biggest issues aren't mechanical (not saying those issues don't exist).
He's as raw as they come from a mental standpoint and understanding of the modern passing game.
I think they are going to be very limited in the offense that they run (think Taysom Hill Playbook).

He was putrid in most games I watched. Hell of an athlete though.
