I would suggest having Paul West reach out to who set up the TAF tailgate at the Hilton New Orleans against FSU last year. It might be easier to host an event inside a ballroom at Crowne Plaza/Marriott/Hilton locations. There will be a lot more people than you think.

I'd probably do this instead...

Wall Street Plaza Events

Friday, Saturday and Sunday food and free concerts. 7 venues at one location.
The middle of downtown and close to Lake Eola and a couple of breweries. Can walk to stadium.

Alumni had a meeting this past Thursday, but I was unable to attend. Not sure what they discussed.
The Tibby's locations are not big enough to hold an Alumni function indoors.
Would have to do something outside in parking lot.
Tibby's food is mediocre at best and the locations are away from all events going on for the weekend.
Just my opinion.

Can you reach out and see if there's a meeting available with some type of Zoom interface leading up to it? Would be nice to hear more about it instead of scrambling at the lats minute.

Thx. Paul and I are communicating daily. I've been told that the official group thru Mr Fun and Sports Travel, does not want to tailgate on Sunday because of the heat. The event with Tibbys will be on Saturday not Sunday. From what I've gathered there is no "official" tailgate setup for Sunday pre-game that's strictly for LSU fans. The RV lot is too restrictive.

Put up a tent and portable misting fans. This is the last time the team will open up in Orlando in a very long time. Make it fun.

As I mentioned previously, it might be costly but there can be a way to economically run an event at a local large hotel ballroom. NOLA was a lot more friendly to public groups with nearby restaurants at an almost limitless selection, but Orlando is sparse from what I can tell.

Tibby’s is a good restaurant and one of my favorite places in Orlando. As someone who lives in the area if it’s like their Mardi Gras celebration they’ll have an outside area in front of the restaurant.

This is going to be an action packed weekend for me. Besides the events, parks and beaches for anyone here who likes fandom, comics, sci-fi, etc. FanBoy expo will be near the Orange County Convention Center that weekend.

Plan for me right now is FanBoy Expo on Friday, football on Saturday, probably some game related event (either downtown or at Tibby’s) Saturday night, tailgate on Sunday, watch the game somewhere Sunday night (due to ticket situation) and then a beach day on Monday.

We would bring a crew to the Altamonte location for sure. Staying at my sister's in Longwood, Tibby's is her favorite restaurant.

I am also working on a tailgate for Sunday afternoon with a local brewery within walking distance of the stadium. Tiger takeover of Orlando is progressing nicely !!!

is it Deadwords Brewery? It looks like the closest to the stadium.
