Who remembers “Game Week” t-shirts from the 80’s

They were $10 a piece, sold outside the Union. I don’t remember if it was just home games or the entire season.
I say the 80’s because that’s when I remember seeing them. I don’t know when they started this or when they ended it.

LSU was still selling them when I was in school during the late 90s.

Now it’s random people selling knockoffs across campus that they made

Still was a thing from the bookstore in the Union when I was there 2007-2012.

I bought one from a guy that says “Geaux frickin Tigers” on the front and “Baton frickin Rouge” on the back. It was weird tho. He didn’t accept cash so I had to give him my card

Still did it as late as 2014 at least.

I’d head up to the Union on Friday to get mine. They’re a little tight but from time time, I still throw one on. ‘Aggie culture’ and the ‘naked butt boy pissing on Miami’ are a couple of my favorite.

Tuck Fulane late 70’s. That one hung around for 20+ years

Does Fred’s still do game day steaks?

I use to buy the knock offs around campus early to mid 2000’s

The last time we have seen like them was 2019. I got them has a Birthday gift. But haven't seen them again. Not from outside Union.

I have one from UAB 2013.

It just moved off campus to places like Bengals & Bandits. I have a box of them from when I was there. A whole lot of sad “BEAT BAMA” tees from 2007-12 in there

Anybody else by the Teabag Tebow shirt back in 07?

I bought my first and last one for a Georgia game. Watched game at home and we lost. I ended the game by tearing it off myself and throwing it in the garbage. Swore I would never buy another one and I never have.
Guess I am superstitious.

In the late 90's or early 2000's, I typically bought one of these shirts per year. However, after losing the third consecutive game in which I'd bought and worn a game day shirt, I banned myself from any further purchases.
So FWIW, I accept full blame for those losses. It wasn't the coaches, players, or game plans. It was me . . .

My favorite was the “I need a Volunteer” with an arrow pointing straight down. I wore that w pride for Tenner C fans that day.

Yep. Had several of them. I also waited at Chili's, and they let us wear them on gamedays.

Still sold them my freshman year in 2001

Baseball ones from the 90’s were available also. Great T’s for ten bucks you could buy from a guy on the street who had a duffel bag of different sizes. I still have several. Good graphics and quality shirts.
