No receptions again tonight and minimum playing time. Something is wrong here.

Lance Moore and Meachump ought to trade salaries and contracts.

Lance Moore bounced around the league and was on the practice squad for years before he did shite. Meachem is not a bust yet.

Meachem has to be labeled a bust by now.

Remember, he was a first round pick so to compare him to Moore is not a good comparison. Meachem must be held to a higher standard.

He spent most of his rookie deactivated, per coaches decision. Not like he was injured.

He has not contributed in any way to this team, especially given the fact that he was a first round pick.

Big time disappointment.

Didn't Meachem start tonight? I thought I saw #17 out there for the first play.

He was a bust last year....

The problem with him is that lately the coaches only put him in for blocking purposes, when he is in it is nearly always a running play.

And when he does go out for a pass his routes are like 30+ yards.

Why are people so quick with the 'bust' label? The guy is basically in his first season in the NFL, give him 3 years, if he doesnt pan out, either cut him if you're paying him too much or wait on his contract to expire. Saints fans should be the last people whining about a WR 'bust' considering they got a top 10 WR in the 7th round, and a solid WR out of no where.

you couldnt see it on TV, but Meachem was open A LOT. really suprised Brees didnt take any shots to him. He was behind the secondary all night

I saw several open receivers open all night on plays that we completed deep passes. So it's not that Brees missed anyone.. it's just he had several choices.

Pure and simple, Meachump is not in the Saints game plan. Brees and Payton have no confidence in him and when he is in the game, he just clears out an area or blocks. True, he did start the game but big shite. He had No receptions last night and no passes thrown to him. If some of you don't think it is fair to compare him to Moore than compare him to Duane Bowe. I would take Bowe over Meachump in a second. He is another in the line of Saints 1st round busts.
