Upvote for yes, Downvote for NO.

There's simply no chance whatsoever, right? They have to have him drop out either by the end of the year so that they can get people involved in primaries, or right after the primaries so they can handpick a candidate in time for the real election season.

No way. He's dead weight. It'll be the "Weekend at Bernie's" version if they try it.

No.

The lukewarm defense on the DNC media outlets tells me they are preparing to pivot to someone else.

Voted no.

Just a pure guess.

I hope he is the Democrat nominee.

At his age it’s a crapshoot, but I think it’s more likely than not he’s the nominee.

He has the “incumbent advantage”

Won Georgia in 2020 in addition to taking back the blue wall.

It’s hard to say any other potential Dem candidate would definitely be more electable.

Trump’s the favorite to be GOP nominee and he already beat him.

I mean, me too. He's the * in a Trump campaign winning. Joe would be one of the worst candidates of all time if he's the nominee.

But I know these things to be true:

The Dems are better at this than us. They are more ruthless, and more politically savvy.

They will not run Joe.

Absolutely.
D’s have zero shame or self awareness.
And the GOPe are fine with all of it.

You're right on the zero shame, but they have awareness in abundance.

They are much, much, much better at "the game" than Republicans could ever be (which is part of the reason for Trump's popularity, he is very aware of the game).

They are ruthless, they are savvy.

Joe is a liability at this point.

No argument here. Just look at congress right now. McCarthy is about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It's the GOP way.

So if you accept the premise that the Dems are simply better at it than us, are more politically savvy, more ruthless, and more morally bankrupt in the pursuit of power...

How do they justify running Joe? He's a complete liability and is currently polling neck and neck with one of the most deeply unpopular candidates in history.

1. Incumbent president.
2. Changing nominee is potentially chaotic.
3. Biden has a lot of dirt on Democrat Party king makers.

I may do a thread on this later, but I just caught a minute of Chunk Yogurt (Cenk Uygur) on Patrick Bet-David's podcast. Cenk actually said something that seems the opposite of conventional wisdom -- Cenk thinks Biden is extremely vulnerable to Trump and that if Dems run anyone else, they will win comfortably.

Counter points:

1) Still the incumbent party just with a different candidate
2) Not Donald Trump
3) Joe can't remember what day it is let alone dirt
4) They dirt they have on him seems to be worse
5) Not Donald Trump

I don't think this is against conventional wisdom at all.

Biden is the only candidate (maybe besides Kamala?) that Trump has even a remote chance of beating. Someone as unpopular as him, which is hard to do.

No. I’ve told you people it’s going to be Michelle “big Mike” Obama. Riding in on a white horse to save the country from the big Orange. When is the official last day to enter the race?

IMO Big Mike has no interest in running. If it's going to be someone beside Biden it will be Newsome.

I think Moochelle will run and win because women are idiots.

But if it's Joe, I wouldn't chalk that up as a win for Trump. He hid in his basement in 2020 an still won because of voter fraud that has not since been corrected.

I will say no but it will be the Dems choice to replace him.
I have no confidence that the Pubs will stick together to impeach him or put enough evidence out through an impeachment hearing to force the issue.

I see more letters, headlines, TV interviews, and calls for more hearings from Pubs.
