I'd say that's the exception and not rule.
Most of the urologist I know are pretty down to earth and jovial, the kinda guys that you look forward to sharing a drink with, going fishing with, etc.
And most are pretty damn funny. A good sense of humor goes a long a long way when you're dealing with dicks and buttholes all day long.

I see a urologist for the kidney stones I seem to have a knack for processing and passing. It's the ones that are too big to pass on my own that has him doing his thing in the hospital to break them up and remove them.

Lots of misconceptions in this thread.
Urologist work on the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate (in men), urethra, penis, and scrotum.
Kidneys: Partial nephrectomies. Complete nephrectomies. Stone treatments.
Ureters: Stent placements, tumor removal, dilations, and such.
Bladder: Biopsies, tumor removal, reconstructions, ileal conduits.
Penis: Penile implants. Treatment of peryonnes. Other stuff
Prostate: Biopsies and prostatectomy.
Scrotum: Varicocele treatment. Vasectomy.
That list just scratches the surface. Not all urologists will perform some of those things.The residency is 5 years long.
There are a fair number of urological emergencies that happen after hours. Now some urologists are known for trying to get out of work after hours, but that is doctor dependent.
I will say that the OP is onto something because a lot of urological problems happen in older folks. Plus most minors would go see someone who did an extra fellowship after urology to become a pediatric urologist.

Gotta be funny to be a dick doc. I managed a pretty significant complication of a procedure that one did - He was several hours away. He mistook me for a urologist when I was talking to him (I in no way presented myself as such). After a week or so, he realized I wasn’t a urologist. He googled my name and sent me flowers.

I had to have a cystoscopy done by a urologist when I was 13 after I pissed blood for two days. All I remember about the procedure was pissing a huge chunk of bloody tissue following it.

I worked in healthcare and a Urologist showed me an X-ray of a guys bladder with a glue stick in it. His girlfriend and him got frisky and she pushed it up his ureathra. Got all the way to his bladder.

I’ve seen multiple urologists about frequent urination and none were any help.

I’ve had a cystoscopy and a bladder biopsy. Also saw a urologist for kidney stones.
