I would like to thank the Coast Guard for saving me three times in one day.

Had a fun day on the water. Had a sailboat out and a jetski and a raft.
One guy on the jetski sucked up the tow rope in the impeller. I was in goggles and flippers cleaning barnacles already. So I decided to swim to help them. After twenty minutes of cutting and pulling on the rope I realized the cover plate would have to come off. I looked back at the sailboat and it was about 200 yards away. So I started swimming to it. By the time my legs cramped up I was only maybe halfway there. The one guy in the boat raised the anchor but couldn't start the motor so he called coast guard.
Thankfully they came right out. Fished me out the water, took the guys off the ski and towed it back in.
Then took me to my boat. Did a full inspection. I passed. They were really cool and didn't mention it smelling like Willie Nelson's tour bus.
They took off, I went back to marina.
We got jet ski fixed with some sockets and decided to go back out.
This time we were out for hours. Then on the VHF radio we start hearing distress calls. A bad fast moving storm.
I start heading in. As I'm turning to go into my slip I get hit with a microburst and get blown sideways and my 7hp motor can't push against the waves.
I call out we are going to crash and lay on the horn.
I crash into the wall next to the coast guard station. Every guy in the building came out in the rain and helped me secure my boat. They brought out bumpers and lines. Then I left to go home.
I had already contacted Seatow and was going to have boat moved tomorrow.
Coast Guard called me about an hour after i left asking me to come back.
They towed my boat back to my slip and helped me tie it up.
The same crew that pulled me out the water earlier in the day.
I was very thankful.
Best thing is I only have minor damage to my trim and railing. And some scuffing. No hull damage. No cracks.
I was worried it was going to sink.
I'm so thankful for the New Orleans section coast guard.
3 saves in one day.

And this is why Napoleon now lives in Nebraska.
Good to know you came out alright.
ETA: I want to point out that you didn't have these problems back when you gave appliance tips. Think about it......

Back when I was single, I once dated a coast guard ensign (female) for a minute. She sunk my battleship.

You do realize your putting other peoples lives in jeopardy because of your stupidity
They more than likely have families too
Shame on you

Boating may not be for you.

It really wasn't that bad.
The first save. I didn't really need I was going to make it to the boat. I didn't call them.
The second save I already had secured the boat mostly.
The third wave saved me money though.

So you left your boat without anchoring and then later ignored the weather moving in on you.
Can't the coast guard write tickets for that kind of negligence?

No. The boat was anchored and manned. The man on it couldn't get motor started. He didn't know about kill switch .
The boat stayed still the whole first rescue. What took so long was we had to tow jet ski back and trailer it and my friend got a warning for inspection sticker.
