I don't think he's overrated, but I always thought he excelled when playing with the other great musicians he always seemed to be surrounded by. I mean, if you just look at all the groups he played in, they were all top notch players. Derek and the Dominoes was an all star cast and IMO his best work.

I think my two favorite songs are Forever Man and Rock & Roll Heart.
Favorite album is a tough one. Absolute favorite is From the Cradle. Of his albums that aren't all covers, probably Slowhand. Although, if Loving Your Lovin and Heaven Is One Step Away had made the final track list, I think Behind the Sun would be my #1.
