Lots of good suggestions, but the first step is the hardest, so let's keep it simple.
Commit to walking outside for 10 minutes a day, listening to classical or something you enjoy. Yes, it sucks this time of year, but it's the simplest first step. Things like walking around the grocery or to get the mail do no count.

First of all
Your op reads like someone who feels hopeless and unnecessary. That's not true. It's a lie you talked yourself into.
I hope you take all the good advice in the thread beginning with ordering this book.

I’ve struggled most of my life but I’ve realized the only one that can really help myself is me. I have taken a more proactive approach and tried to stay busy because lying in bed all day made me miserable. My job had pretty much become all virtual and I decided to take a job in a huge office, I need to be around people.
Even though I was miserable, I was in a comfort zone because I was avoiding responsibility at work and living a dull life outside of it.
I’m single without kids and part of me wants that companionship but the other part of me fears that.
And unless you have a religious inclination already, the “seek God” advice is a bunch of baloney. People who advise this cannot fathom what it’s like to not really believe in much.

Have you thought about moving to the coast? I mean, ON THE BEACH?
I had horrible bronchitis and anytime I’m having breathing issues I’m always significantly better when I’m on the coast. The ocean air is good for you.
In any case, I’m pulling for you and I hope you find the answers you are looking for. And health wise, you never know what’s around the corner, good or bad. Just keep rolling with the punches.
All the best to you, and I really mean it.
Ocean air typically does help a little. Ironically I find that pools and hot tubs help a lot. I was relaxing at a friend's hot tub last night for a party they put on and I realized it was the first time in awhile I wasn't constantly coughing.

I just spit a bit of Diet Coke on my computer screen. I hope the OP gets as big a laugh!

Not always the best advice. Some can be horrible.
Finding the right one of those is also like finding the right SO.

I'm the exact same way. I want the companionship but don't necessarily want to give up all of my independence. Part of me wants it very badly but the other part of me truly fear it.

1) evaluate your sleeping habits.
2) humans must exercise (start slow) but be consistent. 20-30 minutes of walking.
3) Find a purpose larger than yourself. Life is hard without a transcendent purpose, you simply don’t have anything on the other side of the scale to push through. Volunteer, do things that are hard and worthwhile.
4) The only lasting, meaningful and thoughtful option is God. There is depth and joy there. Peace as well.
Not ancillary to the conversation, it’s truth and connects us to what is real!

If you got access to a buddy with a hot tub you’ll be alright.

Get new drs. Keep looking. Every day wake up and right down three things you are grateful for….can be anything. Do same when you go to bed. Talk to your family about your health situation. Don’t give up….STAY HARD!!

Get a Peloton, join a gym and do group classes, join a hot yoga studio, get in some kind of group fitness activity and stick to it.
Go back to school and become a lawyer or doctor.
But most of all, go to church. Read the Bible and listen to the voice that tells you where the real purpose for your life is. That voice is small at first, but the more you listen the louder it gets. Things will start to fall into place where you thought they were once futile. I guarantee you’ll meet a nice partner and life will start to become better if you pay attention to your spiritual needs first.

Coastal, i wont bore you or anyone else with the details but just know that we are both in a VERY similar situation. I dont have any words of encouragement as im going through a lot of the same doubts but just know you are not alone in having these thoughts. I wish the best for you and if you ever need to hear someone else vent or just need someone to listen, message me. I may not have advice but i assure you that i will listen and sympathize with you
