Such a great sitcom. The veiled comedic elements are unmatched. It’s got plenty of overt comedy too, of course. Definitely one of my favorite shows ever.

Amazing how much Sophia Vergara aged on the show.

Started out as a total smoke show, but by the end she was looking old.

I was on probably season 3 of this show and then randomly saw an episode in season 10 and the semi-adult version of the kids jumpscared the shite out of me and I wasn't able to get back into it from there.

The whole series is great, but the first 2-3 seasons are absolute comedy gold. It’s funny to listen to Sophia Vergara in the beginning vs the end- her accent gets heavier and more exaggerated

Goes to show you can have a perfectly funny sitcom with relatively progressive tones be hugely (and universally) successful without bashing people on the head. Great show.

The only thing I don’t like is how bad the 2 boys are in the later seasons. Like & whats his name are bad after season 8 or so

I've never seen modern family but I'll put 30 rock up the challenge as more subtle humor

A unicorn like her never looks too old.

I’m hoping to share a nursing home with her one day. Would tug on her catheter…gently…to salsa music.

The first few seasons made me consistently bust a gut laughing. I tapered off around season 6 or 7 I believe. Was shocked to find out it ran as long as it did.

Exactly. Office and Parks and Rec did it well as well. Society can laugh at and accept a well written gay, black, libertarian, Hispanic, woman, whatever as long as it’s well done and not trying to beat you over the head with it.

Brooklyn 99 did for a bit but they lost their minds in the later seasons.

She's still attractive.

She just transitioned from being a woman that is hot, to being a woman where you think to yourself "man, I bet she was hot back in the day"

I can’t argue with you, as I’ve been to 30 Rockefeller Plaza more times than I’ve watched 30 Rock.

An example of what I’m taking about is in episode 1 when Mitch and Cam bring the Vietnamese baby home that they have adopted and introduce “Lily” to the family, Phil says something like, “She won’t be able to say her own name.” It was said in the midst of several people talking and celebrating all at once. Was something very easy to miss, but hilarious if you did catch it. The show is full of such.

This is from late 2020, the show ended in May of that year which means she’s a year older in this pic than when they filmed. How hideous
