ETA: It has also been fun seeing all the big corporations who "suspended their ad campaigns" on Twitter due to Elon come crawling back. Turns out, that virtue was only worth signaling whilst people were watching.

Pretty weird how Twitter is still losing major $$$$. You are completely FOS in this thread.

I would reevaluate my life if I read 600 twitter posts in one day.

I exclude those who do it because of your job. But, if your using Twitter to make money, you have no grounds to bitch about twitter wanting a cut.

You don’t have to read them. Its really easy to scroll past 600 posts/ads.

If this were football season, I’d be out of luck past 12 PM.

How much money are they losing now compared to how much they were losing prior to the purchase by Musk?

You didn't acknowledge the fact that many, many corporations that said they were done with Twitter are for some reason still advertising on Twitter. I just blocked some more of them a bit ago on my Twitter that doesn't work.

I did notice that a number of people on my feed who said yesterday was "The final final straw" and they're leaving Twitter for good are for some reason......still Tweeting.

It is all a bunch of hypocritical bullshite, just like some of the folks in this thread who regularly decry social media as the preeminent evil in our world today, yet they're upset that someone would limit how much social media they can view. It really is just fun to watch for me.

ETA: I still haven't gotten the limited message, and that's not a troll.

Twitter was cooking their own books prior to Musk. Why do you never acknowledge that?

bruh that’s like 6 random topic threads on the OT. Depending on who is playing, it would be the 1st half of a CFB game thread

For instance during hurricane season if a storm is about to hit traffic picks up here heavily after 30 pages you would get locked out. That’s like a couple hours

If responses by others are also tweets, this thread alone would consume a quarter your daily allotment.

Yeah, I’m curious how it will be counted/tallied.

Will every tweet you scroll past on your home feed count? Or only the tweets you actually click on?

I guess I'm WAY behind the curve on this crap. The only time I get on Twitter is when someone posts something that requires linking to it to view. Other than that, I have no use for it or need to go on it.

But then again, I have no Facebook account either, and don't care to have one. My main source of communication with people is face to face or over the phone. I probably text less than 5 times a month.

Yeah, I'm that guy.....
