How much sweeter does it make winning the national championship knowing we plowed through Tennessee in two CWS games and eliminated them?

I’d say a lot.

Sure it's nice to take down Tennessee and Florida along the way. Those three baseball games against Wake were clearly (to me at least) and battle of the two best teams in the nation. That was the most fun to watch for me, and we had to battle our arse off to do it. It took heroic efforts, and almost flawless play to get it done 2/3 times.

What’s the order for most satisfying...

6. Kentucky
5. Tulane
4. Oregon St
3. Tennessee
2. Wake Forest
1. Florida

There’s nothing special about beating a nobody

You’re giving them more respect than they deserve

Vitello is a villain that is easy to dislike. Appears to have toned down his antics a bit.

Getting humbled in 2022 like they did will do that. I will say this, he’s at least self aware enough to know that people don’t like them and why. He’s acknowledge it many times this year.

This. In all sports. Reading some of the Florida message boards this post satisfied me the most

Sounds like my youngest during/after the 2020 Lsu “shoe toss” game. From our angle and in that fog, he was convinced we hit that final kick. Only game we attended all year and some special bonding, but the drive down 2nd Ave with a frustrated, sobbing 11 year old was the toughest I’ve ever had. For all our hated rivals, I’m not sure Lsu hasn’t done the most damage to us in a variety of ways and sports. They’ve become the Auburn of the 70s-90s.

I think I enjoyed beating Vitello more than the players.

Their tails are definitely btw their legs. I didn’t realize how bad their locker room was. Sounds like a grease-fire in Knoxville.

WaKe Forest would have lost SEVERAL games in the SEC and thought they were the shits. They had a great pitcher in Lowder but the book would have gotten out on him and 3 years his arse would have been hit hard had he been in the conference especially with those umps.

But first, we need to stop losing those mid week games to “Down Dah Bayou University”.

It was payback time so the answer is quite obvious, it's Florida.

I quite honestly hate Florida so much I don’t even care we drilled Tennessee twice on the way.
Probably the most satisfying championship we have in baseball because this is the first season I followed all games from the start.
A lot of that due to the game being sped up and more enjoyable now.
