Customer Service is so bad at every level it almost makes life not worth living

I am now making Customer Service the number one priority for this country over everything else when I become dictator.

More important than:
Defense
Police Protection
Health Care
Running water
Electricity
Trash pickup

Feel free to add what I missed.

I wouldn’t go that far, but it does suck at almost all levels in every aspect in life.
Either short staffed or staffed with idiots seems to be the new and permanent business model

Customer service is terrible in places like Baton Rouge but is actually quite good in places like El Paso.

Internet shopping killed retail customer service. The money isn’t there to hire capable, happy employees.

I'd argue shithead customers have contributed as well.

It's not just people acting like animals in fast food restaurants like we see on twitter. I've seen upper middle-class yuppies act like entitled pricks in retail settings, so even if you get capable employees, they aren't going to last long.

Very true. The customer service issue is a symptom of the other problems in our country.

The issue is mega corporations farming shite out overseas, stomping the hopes and dreams of there American employees, and in general catering to their lowest denominator and sucking the life out of people who work hard and care.

Customer Service with live American voices and competent skills
+ No reading from a script
+ Jobs for real US citizens
+ Tax base for cities and counties


Spam crack down
+ Civil liability for customers to get paid
+ Only US allowed so we can reach out and touch them
+ No loopholes for politicians and fake charities
+ Criminal liability for repeat offenders

its spotty at best here, often they are so late they dont ever pick it up until the day before the next pickup day.

my neighbors can is split wide open from top to bottom so its not even usable. he called them and they said every day they go out and replace cans so he is on the list, that was 5 months ago as of this friday. he calls at least 3 times a week so its not like they dont know about it.

the secret to having good customer service is to hire more white people and less POC

My platform:
1. Stay on DST all year
2. Two time zones - Eastern (east of the 'Sip), Western, (west of the 'Sip)
3. FFA/Airlines to increase the planing wights for adults from 170 lbs to 400 lbs
4. The "recline" function of all public transit seats would be done away with.
