Well..... He did predict the '08 collapse.

That’s cool.
I bet he’s predicted a bunch of stuff since then that didn’t happen.
He’s one of many that try’s to profit off of fear porn.

Been hearing "its right in front of us" since 2015. Eventually one day ones of these idiots will be right. You don't get credit for predicting doom and gloom literally every year then finally being right.

I love Taleb and have read all of his books, but...he has really turned into a crank in the past 10 years. He went from being a math guy with a philosophical bent and a very intelligent message to just naysaying everything. I no longer listen to him.
Still The Black Swan and Fooled by Randomness are excellent (I would submit crucial) reads for any investor. Anti-fragile was really good too.

He was crazy about Covid and Global Warming too.

When he managed to get in a highly personalized feud with Sam Harris, I called it quits for real. Harris is reasonable if nothing else. It's also why I'm still extremely suspicious of Greenwald.
However, to restate: the lessons inherent in The Black Swan and Fooled by Randomness are essential to investing and to life.

The extended interview he gave some ideas.

He just seems like one of those guys that is always negative
At some point he will be right but he’s wrong way more often

Meh - he was. He's unlistenable now. Jimmy Dore makes more sense from the left.
