229 a month for a 2018 and 2021 through Farm Bureau. 100/300. $250 comp deductible and $500 collision. It's bundled with my homeowners.

It's disgusting to see how much of my pay goes to insurance.

Why is car insurance so much more expensive in Louisiana? Surely someone must know?

I have been very lucky. No increase in auto rates and only minuscule rise in home
Owners 25 dollars for the year. Feel like I finally caught a break.

Home insurance with State Farm is $268 month currently. Might start looking around.

You're getting hosed. I pay $380/month on 4 vehicles (only 2 with full coverage) with a 16 year old driver included.

La Ins. Commissioner Jim Donelon is doing an outstanding job for his constituents. Thats why he's been elected and re-elected 5 times since 2006.

Keep supporting you billboard attorneys, keep the crazy verdicts, keep the lazy judges who issue absurd judgments, keep allowing the chiro to pain mgmt cycle. All that, and youre only going to pay more.

I'm with Geico and they were inching up every year until I had enough. I got some quotes and called Geico. They were so full of shite telling me that "Oh we just got an okay to lower rates on our loyal customers" line. They lowered my rates to lowest quote. I had to say it.. "You got the okay to lower rates but you raised mine"... The woman didn't know what to say..

Homeowners, Flood and Property Tax all went up.. So much that my escrow was in such a deficit that I decided to cut them a check to lower the monthly note. I know that it sounds crazy but that was my decision...

One would think that the long time insurance commissioner would have enough clout to lobby senators and representatives into passing legislation that would lower our auto insurance.

Maybe I don't know how it works but that's how I see it.

According to this website, "There are a few reasons why Louisiana car insurance may be relatively high compared to the national average. Certain factors in Louisiana can make your auto insurance more expensive, including the state's theft rates and population density."

We are the number 3 most expensive state.

Just saw my car insurance has gone up $100 since may 2022.

If we're talking monthly you should shop around...

If we're talking over a 6 month period then shut the frick up..

But the legislature told us it was all Gordon’s fault and the tort reform passed in the summer of Covid would definitely lower our rates.
