Make sure to get one with a lithium battery, not lead acid.

You probably need one that's street legal, brake lights and seat belts. Read the local regs then buy used one on FB marketplace.

Buddy of mine just bought a Yamaha gas. He tweaked the govenor or whatever else it's called, and that bad boy will do 30mph.

Trick question. Get a Moke electric car. They’re awesome. They can have a software adjustment to increase the speed as well.

I'd love one too. I don't need it to be fancy, just a a reliable 4 seater. The price ranges out there are very wide. Can't figure out why. Is there something about the batteries that makes them far more or far less valuable?

GEM makes a very nice one, I see many in our neighborhood. Pricey.

Club car has advantages over the mid range makers with an aluminum frame. Had mine since 2012, no issues, just maintenance.
Sams Club has one on their website for less than $10K.

That was great and loved that he just stood there with the golf car on top of him.

Highly recommend one of these. Can't steal the cart via rolling it onto a trailer either.

Club and Yamaha are good brands
Get lithium ion battery

Avoid evolution. Decent price but build quality is questionable.

Good thinking. Yes, a mile from downtown so I was told having one is a huge convenience. We shall see!

DMV calls it a "Low Speed Vehicle" aka LSV. That's how it'll be referred to when looking up the state/city legal rules. LSV's have VIN #'s just like regular cars and have to be equipped with brake lights, head lights, tail lights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, odometer, speedometer, wind shield, etc

In LA and FL, you had to carry liability insurance in order to register an LSV for street use. And they can only be driven on roads with a speed limit of 35 or lower. Not sure what the laws are in MS though.

Evolution makes some nice golf carts that qualify as an LSV
