What are the chances Konnor Griffin or Derek Curiel end up on campus?

They would have to be seriously hurt in high school or want unreal money

It's the signing bonus that sets it apart from NIL money. NIL can't match that.

Still, there's the rare guy who isn't satisfied with where he's selected and what he gets offered. It's happened before, but NIL isn't enough to sway someone who is set on signing a pro contract.

You sign those kind of kids and hope they break a thumb their senior year lol

Otherwise you just hope for a miracle and recruit as if they aren’t even signed

Everything is not just money, i.e. Dylan Crews... Crews had the opportunity to go to the draft out of HS and opted for the college experience and a shot at the CWS.

10-20 yrs ago it was much different. Any kid getting big money offers from the draft tended to sign. Now the college path offers much more personal fredom and opportunities for development while getting an education. With NIL the pot is sweetened. The other path through the Minor League system sucks for most.

No, you are overthinking this or you don’t know anything about the two prospects. Crews turned down about 1/4 of what these guys will be offered. Both have a legit shot at going 1.1 next year. As stated earlier, they will have to have a serious injury or forget how to play baseball to make it here.

In your opinion, what is the highest nil deal on the lsu team?
Number wise.

I don’t know why but I have a good feeling about Griffin. Based off of absolutely nothing.

Who was the kid who wanted like 2.1, was signing up for classes and in Paul’s office when the team offered 1.8 and he immediately left?

First of all, slot value stays over $250k until the 7th round.

just to point out how stupid that statement is, here is the slot values for the 2022 draft

Round 1: 8.8 million to 2.4 million
Comp A round: 2.4 million to 2 million
Round 2: 1.9 million to 1 million
Comp B Round: 1 million to 800k
Round 3: 790K to 576K
Round 4: 571K to 430K
Round 5: 426K to 332K
Round 6: 319K to 251K
Round 7: 249K to 198K
Round 8: 197K to 168K
Round 9: 167k to 155k
Round 10: 155k to 149K

That is life changing money for a ton of people.

Second of all, both of these guys are likely top 15 overall picks. Their signing bonuses are going to be, at a minimum, 3 million dollars.
