Just entered the transfer portal this morning. Batted .415 at Clemson last year. Should LSU kick the tires on this one? If so, does LSU have a realistic shot at landing him?

LSU has a realistic shot at landing just about anyone in baseball.

The dude can hit. Jay Johnson has probably already slid in his DMs

I’m sure it’s not an uncommon sentiment and I do like LSU getting the best players as it can, but it might take me a while to get used to the best players on damned good teams leaving that team to look for greener pastures (super teams).

I’m sure it’s NIL money related more than anything, but Clemson was the #4 seed. It’s not like he’s leaving a dump.

From what I remember (only watched Clemson when they got hot towards the back end of the season), he was mainly 1B and DH. Wouldn’t mind him and Jared Jones holding down those two spots.

He can catch, but we are stocked at that position.

Guys also look for better situations to showcase themselves for the next level, maybe it's to play a certain position or to just get more eyes on them.

CJJ has an assistant whose main job is to watch over the transfer portal, so anyone entering it, CJJ will know about.

The players are tagged already and JJ and his coaches get an alert each time a flagged player enters the portal. I'm sure JJ is on this player. Damn good hitter.

That's what I was thinking! Tanks also came from an ACC school.

His blurbs call him an “infielder.” Can he play anything besides 1B/DH? But hey, you always take a big bat if you can get them.

If he can hit, he's in. May push Jared Jones over to SS but gotta do what you gotta do.

Took me 2 seconds to welcome Tanks and Skenes in. I do not see a problem with this as long as you're the school doing the taking.

Hate when players transfer out. Love when they transfer in. Just see it as arriving from another school albeit a college instead of a HS. I'm selfish.
