If you watch Jomboy reactions on YouTube, you realize everyone who hits a double in College baseball has to shout "Let's Go!" to his dugout because he's apparently the only one trying just because he got a lucky double.

There's so much douchebaggery at this CWS. Every hit is like they're Kirk Gibson and war paint and porn staches. Good grief, it's like an amphetamine satiric frat party. And people wonder why CBB isn't more popular.

If this is a boomer thing then where is the line drawn? Is it cool to celebrate walks and errors now?

You definitely can celebrate walks (not all of them, but when you walk in the tying run in the 8th inning for example after a long at bat at 3-2 with boo-coo foul balls)

Why have fun in general? It’s pointless anyway.

College or mlb. Every single time someone hits a double, they get to second, look at the dugout and do some sort of hand/arm celebration.

WHY
OH THE HORROR!!!

I celebrate when someone on the team I'm rooting for hits a double, and I would assume it means more to them...it would actually be weird if they didn't celebrate

Actually it's experiencing a bit of a renaissance because of the opposite of this mentality.

It's mostly College because a double is !like a HR to them.

People piss on OP but it's an obvious douche reaction in CBB just for a fricking double. Stop triple pumping and pointing your fists at the dugout as if you're the only one trying and everyone else is a POS.

You hit a gapper, you didn't solve world hunger...And you're showing up your teammates as if they're not trying except for you.

"Let's Go!!!!!" (Clap, clap, clap) to the dugout. "Lets fricking go!". I just stepped up by happenstance ...

It's just a double dude. Stop trying to act like Jesus on 2ND base And your teammates are lackadaisical Judas.

The double at the College level is the most overreacted play that often has no consequence.

I see it as it helps pump up the other players as well, Usually the celebration is directed to the dugout. In other sports the celebration is usually strictly done for their own enjoyment.

It's the home run trot that has gotten stupid on occasion. Rocking a baby around the bases is still a good way to get it put back in your face. The Ray player who likes to stop and pose 4 or 5 times as he's rounding the bases is another good way to get one put in your ear.

If you want to stick it to the opponent then be prepared to get it back. And remember, there's no crying in baseball.
