62s at a US Open, what is this crap

A terrible course decision made because LA is LA and LACC is so exclusive.

I’ve always been of the opinion that golf’s toughest test should have a winning score as close to E as possible. Anything more than -5 is too easy. -10 or more is a disaster.

If they had the typical weather LA usually has this course could have been brutal

At least the afternoon groups tomorrow should get some decent wind.

U.S. Open Round 1 scoring averages in recent years.

LACC: 71.6
Brookline: 72.8
Torrey: 73.7
Winged Foot: 72.6
Pebble: 72.7

Can y’all stop freaking out? The one stroke difference has y’all losing your minds

Also for those talking about how easy this course is, cupcake is 3 over

Only thing is this course allows you to come back from +3.

Rory can hit his irons 30-40 feet higher than Brooks. It’s unreal

I agree with you but the afternoon wave isn't even halfway finished yet. It'll get lower

Its not going that much lower, and the scoring average is going to be much higher with the sun coming this weekend

They play together all the time, wives are close, they go to dinners together, they are close friends. It’s ok. You’ll be ok

His 2011 Masters Sunday round is probably a top 10 all-time choke

Also remember him choking away a tournament at Riviera on a Sunday too.

Don’t have time to look em all up, but the tag will stick for quite a while
